Orr Land Team

Ed Orr

By obtaining his real estate license before high school graduation, Ed Orr’s career destiny seemed set. But his destiny may have been set before he was even born. Being the great-great grandson of a Colorado Homesteader, some might say Colorado Real Estate is in his blood. Ed's grandfathers & father taught him the love of understanding, developing, and stewardship of the land in Colorado.

Ed has come to understand the many levels of rural property - such as  the difference between mineral rights, water rights, and surface rights. Over thirty years in this field has given him the expertise to handle everything from neighborhood developments to large scale ranching and farming plans. He has proven that land development doesn’t have to equal destruction of wild life habitat; an example of good planning being the Poudre River Ranch project in West Greeley.  Orr Land donated one hundred acres with 2 miles of Cache La Poudre River frontage providing public access to the natural habit of the river corridor to help keep the open space design and allow for a positive transition from “country” to “city”.

His strong ties to family and to the Northern Colorado area have developed Orr Land into a close knit real estate family of their own. They are a united front in helping their clients understand the many implications of surface, mineral, water right agreements and exchanges when dealing with rural property real estate transactions.

Ed's philosophy is, “One thing we can do right - serve our customers. There is no competition inside these four walls.”  Team Orr is there for all of your farm, ranch, and homestead real estate needs.

Tomm Owens

Since 1993 Tomm has brought his Texas style, expansive water and mineral rights knowledge, and love of Ag Business to the Orr Land team. If there is a question on non-surface rights - Tomm is your man. He knows that understanding the history of the land is an important part of planning for the future of your landproperty. His focus as a Real Estate Broker is in agricultural sales, primarily farms and ranches in northeastern Colorado and southeastern Wyoming.

Tomm understands that county codes, easements, mineral rights contracts, etc. can be overwhelming to the farm and ranch business person and he makes sure that small contract details are not overlooked as he knows those details can cause major problems for the land owner.

Sometimes it is BOTH what you know and who you know...Tomm and the others at Orr Land Company have a large referral list of qualified people (intermediaries) and have built amazingly successful alliances in the agricultural industry. Tomm has developed strong connections within the industry and will gladly navigate the sea of paperwork for his clients.

Tomm is a family man and proud of his wife of twenty-four years, Debbie (a World Champion Breakaway Calf Roper) and two children, Tate and Tally.  Both are multiple Colorado State High School Rodeo Association champions. His strong sense of family extends also to the people of the Orr team. Whether it’s working the rodeo circuit, reviewing real estate contracts, or generally supporting one another, the Orr team works together and gets it done, and done right.
